Some systems are experiencing issues

About This Site

This is the status page of the openSUSE infrastructure team, where you can get updates on how our systems are doing. If there are interruptions to service, we will post a note here.

As always, if you are experiencing any issues with the openSUSE infrastructure, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at admin@opensuse.org or via #opensuse-admin on Libera and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

We will schedule and contain any maintenance it deems as Major to the following time:

Thursday, 08:00 - 10:00 CET for all openSUSE Services

Maintenance
Infrastructure migration - Jenkins

The Jenkins server hosting ci.opensuse.org will move to a new location. Due to the service not being actively used, it will be migrated but only brought back up with low priority.

Edit: The machines have been shut down at the old location.

Infrastructure migration - Jitsi

The Jisti instance at meet.opensuse.org will be migrated to a new location, downtime is to be expected.

Edit: The migration is in progress. Edit 2: Progress is made on meet-test.opensuse.org. Until finalized, meet.opensuse.org will redirect there.

Build Service network problems in build service

Update - 2017-09-20 - 21:30: This issue was fixed... thanks to everybody involved for fast reaction.

Due to network problems in build service, we are facing a partial outage and therefore a reduction in build power as our major build workers are not reachable. We are working on it.

The package search (software.opensuse.org/search) is currently not available.

UPDATE: Package search is back alive.

UPDATE: Server config fixed, works again :-)

The login system used by the wiki and progress.opensuse.org is currently broken. You'll always get "invalid username/password" when trying to login.

Download download.opensuse.org offline

UPDATE: download.opensuse.org is online again - all repositories where checked and re-published if needed.

The data partition showed major issues - resulting in a shutdown of the file system. We are currently analyzing the problem and trying to bring the service up again.

Please use http://mirrors.opensuse.org/ meanwhile to get a list of other openSUSE mirrors.

  • Most data recovered, starting the official service again. We are still validating some data in the repositories, so not everything is accessible yet. Please note that some /repositories/* directories might contain old files until the next sync from OBS. In that regard, rsync access to stage.opensuse.org is still disabled until we verified that really everything is ok on the master server.

  • Only recovered 9 from 14TB data. Syncing the rest of the data from backup and backend machines now. download.opensuse.org should be fully functional again tomorrow, Thursday 2017-09-07.

  • Still no good news from the original machine. Meanwhile we changed the DNS entries to point to a mirror server in Provo. Please excuse the low bandwidth and delays for the moment, we are working on a permanent fix.
