Jitsi server malfunction Thursday 16th September 2021 11:00:00


After the latest update, our Jitsi server is not functional any longer. We expect a packaging problem behind it and currently investigating the issue.

We got reports that people seemingly randomly fail to connect to sessions the first time or drop from calls. A forced reload ( [shift]+reload ) or clearing browser caches solves most of these problems so far. Our experts trying to identify the root cause - but this is not that easy.

Thanks to our volunteers (esp. Leon and Enno), our Jitsi instance is up and running again now. There could be some smaller hick-ups, as some new settings are currently tested. But over all, the system should be back.

If you still experience issues, please clear your browser cache (hard reload or via developer console).

The problems from last week are still not fixed. We do know meanwhile, that multiple, undocumented configuration changes happened. This outage will take longer.
